The exhaustion of the Thanksgiving hoopla may be over, but now it’s time to start thinking about more holiday decorating. Whether you’re looking for the perfect flowers to spice up your workplace, some flowers to bring an element of the outside into your home, or a way to turn your home into a Hanukkah Wonderland, you can count on our floral design team here at Boyd’s Flowers to help you accomplish your goal.
Be Prepared for Hanukkah – The Festival of Lights
Jewish holidays don’t occur on fixed dates the way our national or other religious holidays do. This year, Hanukkah begins at sundown on Sunday, December 6. Traditional Hanukkah colors are blue and white, although many people prefer to use white alone when they decorate for this “Festival of Lights.”
Since the holiday revolves around the candles in the Menorah, we like the idea of not using candles in holiday decor. By omitting candles on table centerpieces, we are able to help our customers keep their focus on the candles in the Menorah. Our Basket of Light arrangement is sophisticated and rustic at the same time. We use a simple wicker basket with a handle as the vessel for pure white roses and delicate sprigs of white larkspur. This basket will look as good on a dining table as it does on a console table.
It’s All About Christmas Glitz and Glam
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a ton of sparkle. We think that our Sparkling Winter Wonderland delivers a ton of wintery sparkle. This festive arrangement combines red mini carnations and roses with white cushion spray mums. The addition of variegated holly and fragrant noble fir give this arrangement the wintery feeling we crave in our decor. We add some shiny ball ornaments as a contrast against the giant ornament bowl that holds the flowers. This delightfully festive arrangement is perfect for accent tables, a workplace desk, a coffee table, or in a bedroom or home office.
Nothing says Christmas as much as the artwork of Thomas Kinkade. The Thomas Kinkade Country Christmas Homecoming is a combination of a delightful little country Christmas village, complete with lights, and the floral arrangement on which it is perched. The floral component includes pine and fir branches, red roses, small white mums, sprigs of holly, and snow-dusted pine cones. This is the perfect decorating item for a console table, a mantel, an end table, or another small table. It would look cute on a small dining table. This arrangement is going to be available for delivery on December 12.
Don’t wait to do your holiday decorating, especially since Hanukkah starts in a few days. Our floral design team is eager to help you transform your home into the holiday wonderland that will delight your entire family and the guests who come to visit you throughout the season.
