Nurse & Teacher Appreciation Gifts

There are those all around us, every day, who are doing great things very quietly. Under the guise of “just doing their job”, they affect our lives in so many special ways large and small. In May, we celebrate two groups of people who are not only consummate professionals but have huge hearts for others as well. Teachers and nurses are both honored this month during the second week of May, and the floral designers at Boyd’s Flowers are ready with beautiful arrangements designed to let them know just how much they matter! Whether teacher appreciation gifts or thank you bouquets for nurses, we have what you need. Teacher appreciation gifts
Put it in Your Dayplanner:
Although they line up nearly identically on the calendar this year, National Teacher’s Day is always the second Tuesday in May. This year, National Nurses Day is Saturday, May 6. Each of these days is surrounded by a celebratory week as well, with National Teachers Week being May 7-13 and National Nurses Week falling between May 6- May 12, the last day being the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birthday.

Why send flowers to these special individuals? Day in and day out, they do a job that influences and inspires people – often for very little recognition. Ask someone who the influential people in their lives are, and most likely a teacher will be included in their list.

Similarly, anyone who has been through a significant event at the hospital – whether the joy of a new baby or the challenge of an illness – they will often tell you of the professionalism, care, and encouragement of their nurse. Boyd’s Flowers loves being a part of the Wilmington community, and of the people who make this a special place to live all year long. It is our honor to help you to recognize your friends and neighbors who change lives for the better every day.
